Akira Energy is looking for several Offshore E&I Technicians, based offshore in The Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems on offshore platforms.
2. Conduct periodic inspections and testing of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Respond promptly to equipment failures or malfunctions, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
4. Install, calibrate, and commission new electrical and instrumentation equipment as required.
5. Collaborate with other members of the offshore team to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the efficient operation of all systems.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to offshore safety regulations.
8. Participate in emergency response drills and provide support during emergency situations as needed.
9. Stay updated on advancements in electrical and instrumentation technology, and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.
Requirements:
1. BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) certification including CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) training.
2. Valid Offshore Medical certification.
3. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
4. Proven experience working as an Electrical or Instrumentation Technician in offshore environments.
5. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
6. Familiarity with Siemens S5/S7 PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is highly desirable.
7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
8. Strong Dutch and English communication and teamwork skills.
9. Ability to work on a short project approx. 6 weeks with possible extension (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off).
